Summer Singing
Especially for ladies who have no choir to go to in the summer months.
For the first four Tuesdays in August, Georgina Colwell will be running sessions to keep you singing, in her music room in Hersham.
We'll be learning some jazz classics and songs on the lighter side. The four sessions cost £25, and you'll need to book we'll give you the exact address when you call. There will be a small charge for music, payable at the first session which is August 3rd. The sessions are from 8 pm to 10 pm. Please call Georgina on 01932 244038, or email Email Address

September 3rd
Argento Trio (soprano, clarinet and piano)
Nicola Wydenbach (Soprano), Helen Pierce (Clarinet) and Elspeth Wilkes (Piano) will explore duo and trio music from the classical to the contemporary. The programme includes Schubert’s haunting classic Der Hirt Auf Dem Felsen as well as Britten's On this Island and Horovitz's Clarinet Sonatina as well as the fun trio folk-song arrangements by John McCabe.

September 10th
Nathan Hassall & co: "Jazz from the Silver Screen"
Featuring: Andrea Mann - Vocals, Nathan Hassall - Tenor Saxophone and Gianpaolo Losi - Piano

Following the success of last year's debut performance, this classy jazz trio returns to St. Luke's with a wonderful concert of songs taken from the great musical films of the 1930s and 40s. Featuring classics such as "Cheek to Cheek" (from Swing Time), "The Way You Look Tonight" (from Top Hat), "It Might As Well Be Spring" (from State Fair), and "When You Wish Upon A Star" (from Pinocchio), this concert promises to deliver an evening of easy swinging favourites and gorgeous ballads.

September 24th
Duo Teresa (cello and piano) - Flamenco favourites
The Duo Teresa Carreno is one of the leading Venezuelan ensembles of their generation. They have performed in prestigious venues in South America, Europe and UK. In 2008 they won the Concordia Foundation Award. They will perform Schumann’s Fantasiestucke and works by Spanish composers Falla, Granados, Ginastera, finishing with Piazzolla’s Grand Tango. http://duoteresacarreno.com

Saturday October 2nd
David Jenner memorial concert
David Jenner (1963 - 2009) was a highly gifted Brighton based guitarist and composer. This concert is a unique opportunity to hear David's music performed by friends and colleagues. It will consist of pieces by David for string orchestra, choir and solo instruments; also the world premiere of a setting by David of D.H.Lawrence's Song of a man who has come through.
Performers include The Brighton Singers, The Musicians of All Saints, Rachel Fryer and Paul Gregory
All profits from the concert will be donated to Cancer charities.
